We wish to inform visitors to the www.litorama.it web site that Italian Legislative Decree No. 196 of 30 June 2003, entitled “Law concerning the  protection of personal data” (hereafter “Law”) safeguards data subjects with respect to the processing of personal data.
As the Owner of the data processing, Litorama S.p.a. (hereafter "Owner") uses the web site both as a way of providing information about its services and as a tool for collecting personal data.
According to the legislation referred to, the processing of such data shall be carried out in a way that is honest, legal and that protects the confidentiality and rights of Visitors to the web site.


While a Visitor accesses the web site, the Owner's system collects technical data such as: IP address, type of browser, operating system, source host and URL address. The Owner may use this data, in an aggregate and anonymous form, for statistical analyses of access to the site. Under no circumstances shall this data be communicated to third parties or disseminated.

With regard to email messages, the Owner shall act in accordance with the law in regard to the collection of freely transmitted personal data (including email address), taking care to store it for purposes that are in keeping with the interaction with the Visitor and for the time required to check and evaluate the supplied information, for the purpose of exchanging information or contacts.

Only general data shall be processed. If there is any “sensitive” data present (in accordance with art. 4 of the Law), any message, notice or communication provided by the Visitor shall be immediately deleted.

Data collected in special parts of the web site may be communicated to other subjects on request. Consent shall be sought on all such occasions, and may be obtained on-line using a pop-up menu.

The Visitor should be aware that transmitting data via internet should not be considered completely secure and that the legally required security standards will be applied.



Information on the Processing of Data in Accordance with Art. 13 of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003

In accordance with article 13 of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003, therefore, we provide the Visitor with the following information:

• Data supplied by the Visitor shall be processed for the following purposes: management of personal information of customers/suppliers, administration, supply of information on services, and for the fulfilment of legal requirements. The Visitor is responsible for checking the correctness of personal data and, if necessary, taking action to correct, update or change incorrect and/or out of date data during processing.
• Processing shall be carried out both manually and with the aid of systems and telecommunications. If required, data may be stored in both paper and electronic form to allow the identification and selection of aggregate data, but only for as long as is necessary for processing purposes.
• Supply of data is optional. However, refusal to do so will render any dealings impossible, as processing of the data is a legal requirement.
• In the context of the above aims, data concerning the following categories of subject may be communicated:
- Legal, commercial, data processing and consultancy firms;
- Government offices, public bodies and other institutions, for legal and contractual requirements;
- Credit institutions and factoring companies;
- Customers, suppliers, couriers and shippers;
- Subsidiary, associated and controlling companies.

• The Owner of processing is: Litorama S.p.a., with registered offices in Via Quaranta, 44, 20139 Milano
• It has not been designated as responsible for the processing.
• A Visitor who sends personal data using the special sections of the Owner’s web site and/or email may, at any time, exercise the following rights in accordance with art. 7 of Legislative Decree 196/2003, reproduced here in their entirety for reasons of clarity.

Right of Access to Personal Data and Other Rights


• The data subject has the right to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of personal data about him/herself, even if it has not been recorded, and to have it communicated in an intelligible form.
• The data subject has the right to know:
a) the source of the personal data;
b) the purpose and method of processing;
c) the logic used, if the data is processed with the aid of electronic equipment;
d) the personal details of the owner, the person in charge and the designated representative, as foreseen in article 5, paragraph 2;
e) the subjects or categories of subjects to which the personal data could be communicated or made aware in fulfilment of their role as designated representatives within the country, persons responsible persons or agents.

• The data subject has the right to obtain:
a) the updating, correction or, where relevant, the integration of data;
b) the deletion, transformation into an anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, including any whose storage is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was originally collected and processed;
c) attestation that the operations described in letters a) and b), including their content, have been brought to the attention of those to whom the data has been communicated or disseminated, except where this is impossible or requires an effort that is clearly out of proportion to the right being protected.

• The data subject has the right to object, wholly or partly, to:
a) the processing of personal data about him/herself, even if pertinent to the purpose of its collection;
b) the use of his/her personal data for the purpose of sending promotional or direct sales material, for market research or for commercial communications
