WHAT ARE THE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PRINTING FILES? |

For billsticking posters: composition with at least 5 mm. of trim per side, without cutting marks. Finished format plus bleed, minimum resolution 100 DPI in 1:1 scale. |
WHAT COLOUR MODEL DO I NEED TO USE? |
CMYK. This is the abbreviation for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (the decision to use K to indicate black instead of the letter B is to avoid confusion with the initial letter of Blue). |
The Pantone Scale archives the colours with numbers so that this is a reference from the printer and can be used as a colour reference. The scale was created to be as abstract as possible compared to the way used to arrive at the colour. Pantone colours are generally used in company and corporate logos, whose recognition is underlined by the brand colour. |
HOW CAN I SEND YOU THE DOCUMENT FOR PRINTING? |
Generally, documents for printing are sent using FTP by logging in at the address ftp://ftp.litorama.it, a username and password will be given to you when you open an order. Keep these as you will need them for later jobs! Otherwise you can send a CD to the office our representative indicates. |
DO I NEED TO COMPRESS THE FILES BEFORE SENDING THEM? |
Yes, we recommend using winzip for Windows and stuffit for Macintosh. |
DO I NEED TO SUPPLY A COLOUR PROOF? WHICH ONE? |
To be reliable a colour proof needs to be certified, however it is fine since it is a general description for orienting the printing. Only printer colour proofs, taken from extraction of ICC profiles of the offset + print machine combination can be considered the most reliable. |
